Heifetz Institute faculty cellist Amit Peled, joined by pianist Stefan Petrov in performance at a Heifetz International Music Institute "Celebrity Series" concert, plays the short, virtuosic "Papillon" ("Butterfly"), Op. 77 by French composer Gabriel Faure. Peled is performing the work, a favorite encore piece by the great cellist Pablo Casals, on Casals’ own 1733 Goffriller cello, a legendary instrument presented to him by Casal's widow.
